Today is the day! The Vikings are back at US Bank Stadium, albeit it’s just for practice but it’s still fun nonetheless! This weekend, I have quite a bit of stuff going on so we will have a more abbreviated version of the Stock Report, and then I’ll take back off again next week. If you’re new here, this year at Climbing The Pocket, we are going to do our best to report back daily with a Vikings Training Camp Stock Report. Essentially, relaying the information we hear and see from our fellow Vikings beat writers about who is trending up or down at Training Camp, and who we should be watching for in the coming days.

Trending Up πŸ“ˆπŸ“ˆπŸ“ˆ

Michael Pierce– Pierce was back practicing yesterday, after opting out from the 2020 NFL Season and recovering from a calf injury. So it feels right to put him on the Trending up list for that reason itself. He appeared to have a decent day at practice today, including an impressive rep vs Garrett Bradbury. There is still quite a way’s for him to go, to get back to what the Vikings want him to be. But all in all, to have him back out on the field yesterday was a step in the right direction.

Trending Down πŸ“‰πŸ“‰πŸ“‰

Dede Westbrook– This one may not be a popular one, but I placed him here because I felt like he was losing valuable time to showcase his ability. Obviously he is an NFL veteran, and we’ve seen him do well before. He states that he is ready to go and that he respects the team’s decision to be cautious with him. So maybe it’s not entirely his fault, but given the emergence of Osborn, Smith-Marsette, Adam Thielen’s off day, and now Justin Jefferson’s injury. It’s time to see him out on the field. So come on Vikings, let him loose.

Who To Watch πŸ”ŽπŸ”ŽπŸ”Ž

The Players– I know, it’s a dumb answer. But watch the players today as they walk back into US Bank with fan’s for the first time since before Covid. It’ll be a very energetic day I’d bet for all involved. So while it seems cheesy to say, keep an eye on all players, as this could be a day where we see a different type of energy we’ve yet to see from this team.
