Excited About Cameron Dantzler? – CTPN Quick Shots

In this episode of Climbing The Pocket Network’s Quick Shots, we ask the question are you excited about Cameron Dantzler? Jason Brown of Climbing The Pocket gets together with Matt Fries, one of the network’s premier writers and scout to talk about the young cornerback. Dantzler played at Mississippi State and was nicknamed “the needle”. There is a reason for that, and it has to do with the 6’2” stature and the fact that he only weighs about 185 pounds.

In the show, Matt talks about his strengths and weaknesses when it comes to playing. Talks about the situation of the corner room where the loss of MacKenzie Alexander and Trey Waynes along with Xavier Rhodes has left the Vikings short on veteran corners. Yes, we still have Mike Hughes, Holton Hill, and Chris Boyd, but with the drafting of Jeff Gladney and the focus of this show, Cameron Dantzler the Vikings look to take that next step and improve the secondary. What do you think of the pick? When do you think he’ll see action?

Questions abound, including from PFF’s own George Chahouri [@PFF_George], Eric Eager [@PFF_Eric], and Mike Renner [@PFF_Mike] from their podcast, the PFF Foreca$t. Who do you think Dantzler will compared to? What do you think is the minimal level of comparison and what is his ceiling? Please give us your answers in the remarks. We love to know what you think!
