Good morning Horners! Just like the game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears on Sunday, this immediate reaction video was intended to be out in 2018, but alas like most of us, it was little hard to digest the emotional loss and what it meant, slowing down the producer, so we get a day late and a dollar short, just like the Vikings’ season.
Emotions were running high when the show was recorded in the immediate 48-hour since we have come to learn that the present Viking staff, or at least the key players like Rick Spielman and Mike Zimmer, have retained their employment for now after meeting with the Wilf’s. We do know which players are still under contract, for better or for worse, to include quarterback Kirk Cousins, the best receiving duo in the league being Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs, and many others.
A discussion over the O-line, especially focusing on the interior positions took place. Wondering why players like Brett Jones, Danny Isidora, Pat Elflein and Mike Remmers weren’t employed in different positions to hopefully get better results. That question will continue as we look forward to free agency and the draft. Also, did Anthony Harris earn a starting job?
A more level-headed look at the 2018 squad will come in future episodes, but for now, Marshall’s a release of a sort was needed to express the disappointment that we as fans had coming into 2018. Some things will change, some things stay the same going into 2019 and GMG will be here to talk about it in our irreverent way. Many more laughs to come, but just not that many in the show. LOL.
Focusing on lack of motivation, or perceived lack of fire, Drew asked the question should head coach Mike Zimmer be the ultimate responsibility holder? Dave wonders if certain players were forced upon him, or at least not first choices by Rick Spielman? Finally, Ted has probably the most philosophical view over it all. We titled these after game reaction videos “In the Raw” because like you, we work to figure it out as the team we love wins or loses in pursuit of the championship. Please enjoy and tell us what you think.
Like, subscribe, and ring that damn bell! Then shout SKOL!
As always, enjoy the watch!
